For many metal heads, Metal is not just
about the music; although it is the driving force. For most it’s a lifestyle;
an open door to express themselves freely without contempt.
Once you start listening to the music many other aspects start to appear, the sweaty thrashing bodies in the pit no longer seem reckless; they are a united force of metal muscle, dripping with sweaty love for their music. Their life force. The hundreds of horns flying through the air aren't menacing anymore; they are the symbol of brutal enthusiasm.

The metal lifestyle brings with it a sense
of free expression and free will; there is no set style to adhere to. Each band,
each person, has their own sense of self. Between ripped jeans, steel toe boots
and women with a brutal yet sexy appeal, this band of metal goers often gets
bad publicity. Let’s face it though, there is bound to be someone in any scene
that tries to ruin it for the whole. However, this doesn't denote the constant
slur of shame that is thrown at the metal community. This community demands
respect, as it is willing to give it in return.
The metal community has been paving the
way from the underground to the main stream for many years and will continue to
do so. From hole in the wall bars to stadium seating and week long events;
Metal-lives and breaths through the masses. Supporting numerous causes and
promoting freedom of expression, Metal music and its community of brutally passionate men and women will continue
to grow and thrive.
